I've been running my Honda Element on about 50-50 Gasoline/E85.  I tried running it on pure E85, and the check engine light came on.  Am I doing any damage to the engine?  It seems to be running fine.  Also, has anyone tried those conversion kits?  The website looks rather shady.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

If I were you, I'd talk to a good EFI tuner. They will take a look at your fuel system capabilities as well as ease of altering the fuel and timing maps in your ECU. Since you're driving a Honda and appear to be in Northern Illinois, I'd recommend AMS in Chicago: www.amsperformance.com
