| I have run 50/50 E85/E10 and in my experience that is too much as far as power, drivability, and fuel economy goes. Don't want to be in town traffic or any cold starts with that mix. 50/50 is OK for highway cruising at the speed limit with a light load.
I put 8 gal of E85 in my 20 gal tank with E10 and that's about right.
This is on a 1978 Impala, old fashioned 2bbl carb, mechanical engine cam driven fuel pump, and before the days of "check engine" lights! | |
