Subject: RE: Crate training a pup

West Texas

Smart dog, didn't take her very long to get you completely trained.

We have a Chihuahua, 12 years old and as a pup, her space was in the wash room with a baby gate across the door. That was her room at night and whenever we had to leave her for a spell. Anytime we took her out, we took her outside to do her business and it didn't take very long to house break her. As time went on, she about wore us out wanting to go out and lay on the porch. We finally installed a dog door and that has got to be the best upgrade we ever did. She can come and go now whenever she wants. She now has a bed in our bedroom and most evenings, she goes to bed before we do.  When we travel, we take a crate and her bed with us. We do close the door on the crate at night and take her out early each morning. Works here.

edited to correct spelling
