Hello all,

This is actually my first post. A little about me: I am an agricultural engineering student, I like farm equipment and so that's what I decided to study. I'm not really from a farm, but I have always wanted to do some farming.

Anyways, I am currently in a grain crops agronomy course. There is an older gentleman, around 60, retired, who does a little farming to stay busy. He and I got to talking the other day, and discussed how I could start farming. In my perfect world, I would like to work as an engineer part time and farm 50-100 acres part time. However, just starting out, I wouldn't be able to afford it.

I just thought I would make a post on here and see what you guys thought. Thanks!

You can work full time and farm 50-60 acres.
