Subject: Adding an orifice to slow down hyd cylinder

I have a small bore cylinder that pivots the tongue on a hay merger. It is plumbed with 1/4" hose to the tractor SCV (CIH 7250) I would like to slow down the speed of the cylinder because it may do some damage with its fast movement combined with multiple operators. It takes between 1-2 sconds to make the full stroke. (18") I have the flow control set as slow as it will go. I was thinking about putting an orifice in to slow the oil down more. Does anyone know where I could get one from? And where would I put it? I took the line apart at the cylinder and the passage was only 9/64" so I guess it will have to be less than 1/8" to be effective. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
