Maybe Martin just had a weak, simple minded moment when he penned this: "The repeal of Glass Steagall was the final straw that broke the back of the world economy. That was the single worst act that could have ever been done and we are now paying the price in spades." Ok, the word "caused" was not in there. Maybe Rickards is too simplistic because he should have used the words "significantly contributed to" rather than "caused". Or maybe "the final straw that broke the back of the world economy" (oh wait, Armstrong said that - would be plagiarism). Armstrong DID say world economy and not the US economy. Isn't the US part of the world? First paragraph below the second picture. On his own web site. Reference here. Or is Armstrong also thinking too simplistic for you now. Maybe it is even more complex than his super duper computer program can figure out (I for one do believe that to be the case, by the way). We used to have good discussions cfdr. You are starting to scare me. You feeling ok these days? John
