I've got tough soils, typically use one less plow bottom that others do...

I run 140hp 2wd tractor with a 7 shank Glencoe. It pulled it well through some very dry very hard clay the last couple years. Worked out nicely. It was suggested maybe I could pull a 9 shank, but I'm happy with the 7 in my soil.

With wide spaced duals the tractor is wider than the 7 shanks, but it throws dirt a little extra so works fine.
