| Thanks Sheep Herder...
I'm at a crossroads and really don't know what to do. I want a FWA on the farm before spring and mud and calving. Of course I said that last year as well, but I've been shopping and after today am probably more frustrated than ever.
If like to find a 10 series Deere, but they're either sold before I get a chance to inspect them and most of them have high hours or something wrong and still want a lot if money. And with cattle prices where they're at dealers aren't willing to deal. Had to drop everything to look at one today, thought it was exactly what I wanted, supposedly low houred machine BUT u think the tach was turned over, there were a few things wrong with it and the tires were down to bare bones. So there I was deciding on a supposedly good tractor that needed another 7k stuck into it in tires and few other things, but could deal because I was first in call and had dibs on it, but only listed for a day and had 4 other guys requesting to view. Wasn't even on lot yet.
But did come across a 6070 with 4000 hrs but in immaculate condition and I really liked it. Much better than the T7030 I looked at a couple of weeks ago, I hated the control layout, the powershift, and it had some electrical issues. None if that on the 6070 and in better shape, except I don't like where the throttle was placed. But I do like the power quad or whatever you call it in the T6070, gives me speed selections especially in reverse for a snow blower.
Like the McCormicks but new are still too spendy, and the not used one I found has shavings in hydro fluid. Found another nice one, but not available til June.
The clock is ticking. | |
