I had one for 18 months, had the 4 range 4 shift tranny. Bought it March, 2013, it was a 2012 model, a county lease return with 200 hours, came with full 2 year warranty. This past August we noticed it didn't shift quite right, dealer finally determined tranny failure. What happened was a snap ring came loose and slid over against a bearing. The bearing locked up and spun in the housing, the filings finally ruined the clutch packs. NH warrantied the tranny, but wouldn't give me a new one or a factory rebuilt. Tractor was tore apart in a million pieces and dealer was trying to figure out how the pieces were supposed to go back into the new tranny case. To get to the point, I really had planned to trade up to something bigger anyway in a year and half anyway, dealer had a 2013 T7.200 sitting on the lot, gave me a good deal and I traded. The thing about the 6070 is they are a little bit small. I always handled 2 bales at a time, but it was a load. I like the T7 much better and it's a full power shift. As to the Elite and Deluxe, they sorta changed the designations on them and intermingled them, so I don't think you can compare older models to newer ones with the same features. And, are you REALLY going to buy one? I mean really? How many different tractors have you looked at? Come on :) |
