I would be interested too in which banks are doing this - to extreme levels. I assume this is what you are asking - and not asking whether this actually is taking place. When there is talk about banks using leverage of 30 or 40 to 1, I've wondered if this is just a handful of the very biggest banks, or is it more widespread.

Amazing that a system where by far the majority of the currency in use is created by extending credit and not simply "printing" it has been allowed to exist - and there is still such ignorance about it.
