Subject: RE: Farmall 95 problems

NW KS/ SC ID
newer does not equal better.

We bought a piece of equipment off a farmer/ rancher, and he loaded us out with his 6030 Series deere (6430?) might have been a 7030 series, and was venting about how its a nickel and diming unreliable money pit, and he was going to keep an eye out for a 4455 to replace it. IIRC you couldnt even grease the front end, and he said the last time it was in for service, they dumped 3500 in the front end, and that was the minimum recommended by the service manager, they wanted to dump 6500 in it.

The neighbor bought a brand new New Holland which looks awefully similar to that 95, and he has had a few issues over the years (plenty of leaks, MFWD quit working IIRC, hyd. remote trouble) and he doesnt use it hard at all. 3pt 6 foot rotary mower, and moving a little snow in the winter.

Stick with whatever brand you are "addicted" to, and go with an older model to get reliability back IMO.
