I would swing towards dry.

Every product comes in a dry form that is easy to handle and you can mix in any ratio without worrying about mixing problems. It gives you a lot more flexibility to try something new and field specific.

I've used our montag to apply as little as 25 lbs/acre doing strip trials.  The dry can be run at any speed with no changes in orifices or tips.

I can't see spending 10-20$/acre for the same analysis, that is a lot of money. 

The striptill unit can also be used as a dry fert spreader, it's not ideal, but sure comes in handy sometimes.
