| Anyone care to comment on use of nh3/urea in reference to a spring wheat protein thread from a couple days ago. If using a urea broadcast app vs. a nh3 one pass seeding application, how long does it take the nh3 to convert in general? Local elevator man swears that spring nh3 guys in General have better protein than the urea guys. Would this logically carry through to suggest the nh3 is becoming available later (or maybe less loss) when the plant nitrogen useage is needing it? We use less nitrogen than most of the neighbors, have fairly compare able yields and in general higher protein with our one pass nh3/seeding system. | |
