Subject: RE: Cover crop with a twist

SE NE
Throw in some turnips, I am fairly new to cover crops but in my limited experince they grow better than any other thing in cooler conditions. I flew on 6# of turnips with 40# of rye in late August and they grew like crazy! I have grazed 360 acres and my cows are almost too fat, usually by now I have grazed twice that and am looking for the next spot. Knowing you might not be grazing, I will assume the o.m you would gain from the cover would help.
