Your are dead on as far as being good for small snows but not drifts. I like the D handle and poly vs. the typical steel and no D handle. By the way, they work great in the bin for cleaning up after sweep. The amount that is too much for broom but too little for grain shovel. Our Brock sweep works good to just let it go around 2-3 times and then use barn scraper from shoup http://www.shoupparts.com/81036/ to finish it off. Wish would have gotten the 36" version you link to would work for both. Barn scraper is too heavy and unhandily with no D handle for snow.
