Morris, IL | We have a 2010 give or take JX 90, same as Farmall 90 model. Actually ours was a older model when they started selling the Farmall 90 and 95 tractors. Same tractor, different name, have the one PTO lever that the older JX didn't have.
How many hours do you have on the machine? We had lot of trouble with ours in the first year or year and a half. Some of the same, some different, but you have for sure had more trouble then we have. Same as you everything was under warrantee. Clutch once or twice, clutch cable, i forget anymore what else, dealer spilt it 3-4 times. But since warrantee went out we've had great luck with it. It now has 12-1300 hours, spends lot of hours on rotary mower as well as auger in the fall and many odd jobs with loader and such. It's still a cheap built tractor, doesn't give me the same feel as our old 1066 does. But it has been holding up since dealer got all the bugs worked out so maybe their is light at the end of the tunnel for you. I completely understand wanting to keep the tractor, it's a very handily tractor for our farm, sure beats the Super H with trip bucket loader it replaced.
I guess i don't know where i'm going with this, i guess i'd start with the dealer and ask them to get in contact with higher up at CIH. Maybe they could make something worth while to keep it another year, another year on the warrantee or something. Like you said and i agree, we like the tractor a lot.
