Eastern Iowa | 1st thing I would do is move the Steer Command or Geosteer bracket to the left side of the seat. I pull out the storage tray under the seat, drill two holes, and fasten the bracket similar to how the Nav II use to mount. That allows you to keep all the cables tucked behind the seat.
2 that will allow you run that implement cable out the back of the cab to the same point the Pollock Light connector and ISObus connector are.
I do not like how Ag Leader suggests that mounting point of the steer command/Geosteer bracket, all those cables look messy. Also they need to make that implement connection 4 or 6 feet. As tractors are getting bigger the distance from the cab to implement connection is getting further.
When calibrating, you change the orientation of the GCU, measure the location and it steers great. I have done about 15 to 20 of these same models w/o any issues.
Make sure you get the Wheel Angle Sensor installed correctly, that will be the most important factor for good steering. | |
