What is really sobering is when you look at land cost in relation to its output. In 1970 375 bushels of corn would buy any ground by me. in 1981 it took 900 bushels to do the same thing. Today it takes 3,000 bushels. That is absolutely crazy when you look at it that way. I think we've all gone and lost our cotton pickin minds for creating this environment, or as Old McDonald called it, "barrier to entry". Boy, did he ever coin that phrase right. Maybe Rooster could do a spreadsheet on that.
