What I'm saying is off farm income hasn't kept up to what it takes to put in a crop like 10 years ago. If you farm 500 acres and need that off farm job to pay $200 acre farm expense....... I know what you are saying; what I'm saying is far too many are fooling themselves thinking they have meaningful employment on the farm, when in actuality all they did was buy themselves a job by overpaying cash rent. Better off let those losers go, and market your time in an endevor where you can actually make some money.
