Avg wage in relation to farmland values

I assume you are using nominal values for both, wouldn't it be better to adjust both to constant dollars using the same base?.


When talking farmland vs. wages we have on corn anyways pretty much doubled the average yield from 1970 until now on a lot of land. Last I read that workers wages today is equivilient too what they made in 1994.No actual gains in buying power. I my neighborhood its just the last few yrs. you see 20-30-4 yr. olds farming fulltime with out an off farm job. Used to be you either cropped & had livestock or cropped & worked out until you were 55-60.........but then there wasn't wives making $50-100k yr.
