Northeast Louisiana | There used to be five stores between my house and nearest town. Nearest town is 12 miles away. Nearest store is now 12 miles away. Country is getting less populated at same time as country stores are dying. People here now think nothing of driving 30 miles to a supercenter. Wal mart has hurt a lot of small mom n pop stores. As for me, I only visit wal mart as a last resort and I avoid it like the plague. | |
