Subject: RE: Mother Deere laying off 910 people

NE Nebraska
We always hear of the little guys getting laid off making very little, but here is the real problem-http://www1.salary.com/Samuel-R-Allen-Salary-Bonus-Stock-Options-for-DEERE-CO.html (18million in compensation) and it's not just the john deere company, but many others as well. If they'd put some equipment on sale and keep management expenses under control, they'd sell equipment. It's not the average Jo producing something that is the business cost problem, but the first guy to take the short end of the stick and blame. Shame on agco and cnhi for not getting thier ducks in a row and capitalizing on taking away from deere's 65% percent market share also! When the going gets tuff, the tuff need to get going. Drop prices and sell some equipment. How many of us here would RETIRE some old and buy a NEW piece if equipment to add to our lineup if it went on sale 40%? The ponzzi scheme of alowing the same boughten price of used equipment and just upping the new equipment costs is coming to an end, and its a long way down from 300-400k. People dont want to pay big money for something that is worn out. Everything needs to adjust down to what the market is, can't just go straight up forever.
