I don't know Boone, they slapped a pretty bandage on the wound, and a shot of morphine to deaden the pain, but the rotten gangrene is still festering inside and nobody has yet dealt with the pain of cleaning the root problems up.
Some farmers were very much in a world of hurt during the 2008-2011 timeframe. Just didn't happen to be northern Iowa corn farmers who were having troubles.
Clay, I know how bad you guys had it down there. For about 4 years in a row. I had a farm north of Melcher with a creek thru it. That creek was a half mile wide in the middle of summer. Never seen anything like it. Poorest crops I've ever seen were in southern Iowa during that timeframe.
