Central-ish KY
I believe a 7000 has 2040 type gears and the conservation are 40. Both use a 2040 chain so they are essential the same. It's easier to change row width on a conservation than a older 7000. A wide 7000 has to be cut and weld to make it narrow. On the earlier 7000 units, you can't add a no-til coulter or row cleaner. Later 7000's and convervations, you can.
