I went from an 8 to a 12. I really like it, it is wide enough to turn an mfwd tractor around in 24 end rows and yet not so big to be a pain in the rear in small fields. I would love to find a planter just like this set up as 12/23. Oh by the way I hate finger pickup & vacuum meters LOL
