I used batts in a building once. NEVER AGAIN will I touch the stuff. Too, ichy. Can't be good for the lungs, even if you "try" to wear a mask.

The R-value of blown fiberglass should be better then batts. If you have ROMEX in the walls, batts don't work that well either.


The new batts don't itch near as bad, although it still does get a little itchy. Wire in the wall is fairly easy to go around, I kept it all a couple feet off the floor and just peel the batt in two and feed it behind. Price wise, batts works just fine if you know what you're doing.
