Our reps are trying to convince us to go completely foliar fed.

 

They say that you can feed the plant what it needs without putting anything in the soil minus nitrogen of course for corn. I argued with them about it but I don't think my point came across.

 

If you rent some ground where the soil had been mined for years how do you build it up? Simply by foliar feeding the plant you cannot build up that soil can ya? If your dirt is void of many nutrients as it is how can that plant get everything it wants? They were saying it was best to just spray the potash on and if you broadcast it that it only takes up a small percentage of it and the rest is down in the ground. I told them good that means that next years crop is going to have some more nutrients that it needs. They didn't see it that way.
