Around here the state is putting in those ugly roundabouts, but they do save lives. Prior to the roundabouts there were several fatalities at intersections that have clear visibility both directions. Trooper said he didn't know what to think when they were put in, now he says there are still accidents, but vehicle velocity is so much lower that accidents seldom even have injuries, just damage to the vehicles. Glad the driver's ok.
You know, I never thought about a round about there, But that would be a great idea. Then neither direction would have to stop. |
