Thank God he's ok. After a few close calls myself over the years, and all the costs associated with owning my own truck, I sold it a year ago. For .15 cents a bushel I don't have to ever have to deal with a situation like this. Every time I second guess my decision from now on, I will think of this thread. God decided it just wasn't your drivers time yet.
