Click on the address below for a picture of a much more user friendly picking container, and get rid of the clothes basket. She will appreciate being able to use both hands, and not having to bend over to retrieve the basket all of the time. Apple pickers use these bags just for these reasons. It makes harvest much easier and faster.

Click on the "picking bags" in the upper left corner. This style bag should be available anywhere that apples are grown commercially.
