Subject: Re: Honeybee Knife Breaking

Camrose, Alberta
Is yours the double drive knife?

I have a 30 foot Honeybee on my JD 4895 for swathing canola. It has a double drive knife and first year the special overlap gaurd in the center broke and then broke four knife sections off. Had to wait three days for the parts to arrive (ordered two so I know have a backup). I was able to manufacture my own hold down gaurd out of flat iron to get by until the parts arrived. I hate the double drive knife. I know they make some with just a single drive.
