cropsey, il 61731 | this is a distributor with points. I have spark, but not great. I will try to bypass the key switch and hook the coil/dist lead to positive and see if it works.
With this engine it doesn't seem like I can feel the piston coming up since the spark plug appears to be right over the exhaust valve. I could tell when the exhaust valve comes up indicating the piston is on the exhaust stroke. I think I'll try the cork idea since that would get me much closer to tdc.
