KY | We did 9 ft ceilings throughout and a 10 foot tray in the master bed. Really love it. The higher ceilings open it up a lot more than you would think, and our ceilings are all slick finished instead of textured, with all recessed lighting and no fans so the ceiling lines are smooth. Really makes it seem bigger than it is. Super easy to heat and cool in the year we've been there, but we spent a lot on insulation whereas our previous home with 8 ft ceilings cost much more to heat due to less insulation. I also like the coffered ceiling, just something we didn't do. One note, you better have a good drywall finisher to do slick ceilings. Our first one wasn't so swift. Cost our contractor pretty good I'd say to fix that mistake, cause my wife got ahold of him in a hurry! | |
