North Central Indiana
I would say that you have either got your wires crossed accidentally or its not getting fuel for some reason after the carb rebuild. The way I usually check to see if the plug wires are on correctly is to take spark plug number 1 out and place a plastic or rubber plug in it. Use a hand crank or wrench on the crank pulley and turn it over til the plug blows out. That means #1 is coming up on compression, so go ahead and slowly keep turning the engine over until the #1 piston reaches the top then you have hit TDC. Make sure that plug wire is going to number 1 on the distributor and then go ahead and follow the 1-3-4-2 firing order. Do you have an electronic ignition or points?
