LIke others have mentioned, instead of haggeling over repair bills, just tell him your gonna have to charge extra $'s for the job beings there are so many rocks out there. If it was me I wouldn't do it, because all it takes is 1 rock and you have a damaged machine with a high repair bill that you have to pay for, but thats just my opinion.
I'd ask the guy to roll his field next year, that's what we do.
