| Around here we get along just fine with seeding the fescue, what ever type it is and then mulch it. Anywhere I see them seed with rye just because they think they need a cover quicker the rye takes up room and you end up with a fescue stand that is not thick enough. Just overseed the fescue so you know you have it more than thick enough and the mulch will hold it until the fescue is up, won't take a week if you keep it watered. | |
