4ft is cutting it pretty close, I don't know about how to figure what dolly and position of trailer, but do know measuring and figuring axles and if going to do a single axle might as well forget it as it's about axle count to optimize two long trailers two axle is a minimum

BTW know of two guys running setup you describe
