Calf prices are a lot cheaper too.
I think overall the market is pretty efficient in the long term, maybe not the short term in sorting out land rent, land prices, equipment or feed costs and cattle prices. When someone isn't from an area and they see a low or high number on one of the variables, it may not be readily intuitive as it is to a local native of that area why that price is so out of whack.
