The price is too high, and get an 8000 series with all 3 PTO's. We use all 3 sizes around here, with
2 different tractors. Look around there are lots of tractors out there, and don't be afraid of an
auction. I don't like to see that one has had an overhaul, not a good sign.

The 3 PTO's are fine but only with the big 1000 do you have full power to it -on the small shaft 1000 & the 540 you can only get about 120 HP thro them & over this HP a snap coupler breaks to protect breaking the small diameter shaft or tractor pto. The big 1000 is a 1 3/4" pto to handle the 186 HP. Might be better here to have a 540 adapter to the big 1000, or find a nice JD 7810.

I am aware of the sizes. We use the 540 on a PT fert. spreader. Also have used the 540 on
snowblower, and have not had any trouble with the torque limiting collar.

I would certainly not recommend a 540 RPM snow blower idling with 1,000 PTO.
I have had 190 HP pull way down on the snowblower, trying that idling would not work.

Now use a 1000 snowblower on the big shaft.
