n.c.iowa | garvo, i don't really agree with beef being cheaper than any thing else in the grocery cart. just did my weekly tour of the local superstore meat case. hamburger was running over $5 a pound, except for that 80% stuff in the plastic tubes, that was $4 a lb. all steaks were right around $10 a lb, brisket right at $8. turkeys were at a $1.18 for the no name, wife bought a boneless pork loin for a $1.99, bacon was $3.99, ground pork and sausage were running right around that $3-4 a lb. |
