Alabama is going backwards in my opinion but at least we have a decent season. 
Bow season from Oct. 15-Jan. 31.  Gun season Nov. 22-Jan. 31.  Allowed one doe and one buck per day, 3 bucks per year, at least one of which must have at least 4 points on one side.  But until this season we were allowed 2 does per day and had been for at least the last 12 years or so.  We need all the help we can get.
