Central Texas | Remember as a kid, dad and uncle would buy old, thin cull bulls in fall to fatten up on wheat pasture. Most were horned Herefords and they thought they needed to be dehorned so would saw them off with hand miter saw within an inch or 2 of head. They would use sisal twine as you described to stop the bleeding and it worked great. Don't remember ever taking it off as the sisal would eventually rot away anyway. | |
