I use the H bunks for everything. Have a calf get pushed into them every once in a while. Never had one that couldn't get back out on its own tho. Only time I've ever lost one in a bunk was with the metal portable bunks. Got its head under one of the cross members. So think they are safer than using those.
Pasture bunks?
