Subject: RE: Seeding Brome

Central Kansas
10 to 15 pounds of pure live seed (PLS) is recommended for your area. Varieties are several...one called Lincoln was developed by your university folks, I generally buy my seed through the FSA office people and they procure it from Sharp Seed. Brome, if improperly stored (too hot, too damp) will lose its germination rate pretty quickly and you can plant some really bad stuff within a year of harvest. Buy good seed.

I crowd the 15 lbs/acre limit, but I generally no-till it into something.
