Subject: RE: temp sensor gsi dyer wrong temp

Leesburg, Ohio
That's called a "bolt thermistor" and is the same ones used in Farm Fans dryers (which are essentially the same as GSI dryers).

Our dryer has two, one in each plenum. I replace at least one every season. I think they are junk to begin with, but have no other alternative right now than to just keep replacing them. I try to keep a new one on the shelf all the time.

When they fail, the temp will wander all over the place. Usually ours will read anywhere from zero degrees, to + or - 70 degrees, when it should be reading 190 or 230.
