west central MN | I have gone to flex rent on a lot of contracts. I have very good land lords and I feel that I have been fair with them in the past and they are being very good to me this year. I have one that doesn't seem to be willing to come down so why should I farm his at a lose. If you could guarantee that it would be one year I would not have a problem with that but what if it turns out to be 3 or 4 years? Sometime the expense will need to get in line with the income, why not start right away before your operating capitol is gone and you don't have a choice? I would guess that anyone that farmed thought the 80's sees this from a whole different point of view then someone that has only seen land prices go up the last 20 years. |
