Thanks for the input. I was wondering how much pressure would be on the threads with the taper busted off. I will look it over tomorrow, get a left handed drill bit, and see what kind of damage I can do with the cordless drill and an easy out. If I can get that out I will just change the pump there.

I wasn't sure if the steering would still work or not, for 3 miles with 4 turns total I can run in 1st and take all day if I have to as long as I can get there. If I can't get it with the easy out I will drive it and try the welder route.

Thanks for the replies. My brother was driving when it broke, it was already dark so I just looked to see what was broke, then went home.
