Winkler, Manitoba Canada | 16 speed Cat TA22 transmission has the control solenoids across the top of the front of the transmission. It is considerably larger than the other two options.
12 speed manual transmission would need to have the shaft updates done for me to even consider purchasing the tractor.
12 speed twin disc is a holdover from the earlier series of tractors. As Versatile and Twin Disc do not seem to be doing business anymore I would avoid it.
As Caterpillar is using the TA22 transmission in some of their own equipment I hope it will be reliable, as I have a 435 with that transmission.
