Subject: sunflowers as a cover crop

Gettysburg, PA

Been trying to do some research on sunflowers and their use here as a cover crop.  I've found some information that suggests a planting rate of 7 lbs to the acre and elsewhere I found 45-60 lbs to the acre.  Quite a difference!!  So, sunflower growers what do you think?  Also can they be planted with a drill and what setting would you use?
