When I was young my dad raised a lot of hogs and when the crates would get full sometimes we would put some in small pens. We had a big duroc sow that had been a little mean and I went in the pen with feed to put in a trough at about age 13-14 and a pig squealed and all of a sudden I was on the ground and she was over me blowing snot in my face. I still don't know how that happened that fast but I about had a heart attack. She let me up and I got out but still remember it like it was yesterday. She got sold. You have to get the sow away from the pigs some way.
